  • I thought they were very professional. They do run their business from home, they will come and pick up and take your animal to a place to get cremated, yes you can attend if you want, I chose not to. They kept in touch with me, they always said they were sorry for my loss every time I spoke with them. I got my dogs ashes 3 days later, delivered to me. A nice box that I could put a photo of my dog on. Already did. Inside the box with the ashes is a business card from the place that did the actual cremation.
I got a memorial board nicely framed with the Rainbow Bridge poem, an angel heart tag, A paw print of my baby and a lock of her hair. I really love it. I called other places and for about the same price they would cremate and return the ashes. This business went far beyond that. So I would say, they are compassionate people and if ever needed, I would use them again. Very kind people.

  • We used PH in 2005 for a previous pet memorial. Ph provided a very nice engraved wooden box and lovely frame with a nice matte that had space for a picture, paw print and lock of hair as well as a medallion and Rainbow Bridge poem. We were impressed with the quality and tastefullness of both the frame and wooden box. We liked the whole memorial enough that we sought out PH 10 years later when were in need of this kind of service again. PH was very sensitive and accommodating to our special needs; We live in Breckenridge now and felt it best to take our pet back to Summit County for cremation after she passed rather suddenly during surgery in Denver. PH provided us the engraved wooden box and another very nice frame with matte at a very reasonable price! We did everything over the phone and mail. PH communicated very well keeping us posted at every stage of the process. We now have 2 memorials from PH that have a special place in our library. Great memorial, Sensitive and complete communication, Fair price...What more can you ask for during a difficult time. Highly recommended! Tom C.

  • Scotty was excellent he picked up my cat withing 45 minutes of me calling. He was very apologetic and understood my families grieving. Our cat was returned about 3 days later. Using precious hearts was a great stress relief on an already terrible situation. Their price was very reasonable and there was no additional charge for Pickup.

What it is: All this guy does is go to your home, pick up your beloved pet and drop them off at Pet Cremation Services (PCS). He then gets the ashes from PCS and takes them to your home in a wooden box along with a frame that has: ink paw print, lock of fur, a "guardian angel" tag, and the Rainbow Bridge poem. The box you can get engraved with pet's name and DOB-RIP. All at about $200ish. The box is simple and nice...the frame is nice except there is no attention to detail (i.e. words of the poem are cropped off, debris on the matte board, fingerprints, etc).

The guy is extremely unprofessional and creepy looking, but I could forgive that for great service...sadly, that is not the case. He tried to convince us not to the the witness cremation by saying how it costs extra, he has to make arrangements, that it was far from our house, that we'd HAVE to be there before 9am exactly, and that most people don't do it (which is probably not true, but idk). We said the day that'd be best for us for the witness thing, but he made it for another day...we asked him to change it, but he kept saying, "That's what you said, that's what you said." Finally he changed it. Cash or check only, by the way. Didn't ask if we needed a moment before he took the box with our pet to his car.

After the witness cremation, we called the Precious Hearts guy about when we should expect to get the ashes. He replied with maybe tomorrow or the next day. Disorganized! The receipt of the ashes brings some closure to the whole experience, but this guy wants to lollygag for two days. We actually called PCS that day to see if the cremation went okay and all was well. It was. We also asked about Precious Hearts and how often they do business together. They said all is well with Precious Hearts and that it is reliable.

When the ashes (with urn/box and frame) came to our house the next day, the guy immediately intimidated us by saying, "So you didn't think I'd get it back to you?!" Before anyone could reply he said, "That's what so-and-so said!" His tone was scary. You'd think my red nose and teary eyes would have kept him from saying that. One of the most disrespectful, disgusting things we've experienced from someone we paid to do something. Keep in mind that all of this is right after a beloved family member passed away...you animal lovers would definately understand the terrible pain of this situation (and how you don't get over it in one day).

By the way, the witness cremation is basically where you see your pet for a bit before they do the cremation process...we highly recommend that to anyone because it was a good experience for our family and our pet would have been happy about it. They were great at PCS, very respectful of our pet and us. They were not rushing us at all about the 9am issue. If I were you, I'd just take your pet right to PCS, pick out an urn there, do the witness thing, and pick up the ashes yourself. You could also make your own frame if that interested you.

Please don't use Precious Hearts. If this jerk wants to be a delivery man, he should work for Pizza Hut.
